The Port of Tokyo, favored with excellent conditions as a base for passenger vessels, is visited by more coastal and oceangoing passenger ships than any other port in Japan.
We are, therefore, promoting the construction at the Harumi Terminal of a full-scale passenger terminal worthy of the marine gateway to the capital city of Tokyo.
The Harumi Passenger Terminal opened in May, 1991. It has since seen the arrival of numerous luxury passenger ships, transforming it into the most bustling and congenial spot on the harbor.
Nearby, we envision the creation of a gathering place where passengers arriving from overseas can relax and enjoy exchanges with local citizens.
